I was invited by Bearaby to create a new page that explains the topic โHow weighted blankets workโ. The official content of this page is also available on bit.ly/2Ltgwdh (the second topic on the Weighted Blanket Guide). Duration: 8 hours. Now you are contextualized, letโs go to the design process.
Bearaby is a company that produces weighted blankets. A weighted blanket is a therapeutic blanket thatโs, quite literally, heavy. A weighted blanket for adults usually weighs 15/20 lbs, and helps improve sleep, ease anxiety, and relieve stress.
โWe believe that self-care should be joyful, good design should be functional, and deep revitalizing rest should be natural and drug-free. So with the help of scientific research, some incredible, sustainable materials and a healthy dose of product innovation, we made it real.โ
My first step in the process was to study more about Bearaby. To get some details, I visited the Bearaby Instagram and the guide about the weighted blankets. YouTube was also a great helper, I found some users reviews with different perspectives about how is going their experience with the blankets, pros and cons that helped me to understand more the product and customers.
After this simple research, I analyzed and reorganized the content that I found on Weighted Blanket Guide planning to reach out a great performance on the storytelling.
Then I organized this content on a sketch to have a macro perception about the webpage. This sketch already conveys some important UI/UX concepts and details to improve the experience (position of elements, hierarchy, patterns, neuromarketing concepts).
After thinking and planning the UX of the project, I started to create and ideate the UI, collecting the images, colors and thinking deeply about the components that I would implement.
Each part was created to inform and deliver a great experience to users and potential clients of the brand.
It was created on Figma, respecting fonts, images and logo provided. Colors Hexadecimal were extracted from Bearaby site through "Inspect".
